(Health and Beauty) I was a little disappointed because the product was more money than many others. I got it because I wanted the best, and this one was 45 watts (many units were 30 watts) - plus I thought I liked the idea of a heating fan - but I have a hard time telling the difference of when the fan is on or off. Because the unit does work, I gave it 3 stars - however, I had to triple the recommended UV time. I am new at this, and I readily admit that I may have erred and used too much gel at first, so I made sure each subsequent layer was ultra thin -- but still had to use the UV light 9 to 12 minutes for each layer. Problem is: if you check the nail to see if it's done and discover it's not - you've smudged the gel and have to start over. Since I've never tried any other UV lamps (other than at the beauty shop), I can't say if this one is better than any others or not. Two other complaints: (1) I only got 1/2 of a cord with my lamp.
